Each year, The Renewal Awards recognize five organizations with creative solutions to the most pressing challenges in their communities. In 2019, over 9,300 organizations were nominated. Acta Non Verba, an East Oakland based organzation dedicated to helping undernourished youth in the city, won the Allstate Youth Empowerment Award and a prize of $40,000 from The Atlantic and Allstate.
